This month the Simply Beautiful Bible Study has been devouring the book of Daniel with Beth Moore. This first six weeks focused on the life of Daniel through his captivity in Babylon and his uncompromising life and dedication in service to the Almighty God of heaven.We too live in the lap of luxury. Yes, our own Babylon. We can learn from Daniel how to live an uncompromising life dedicated to the most High God.
Isaiah penned it well, "I am and there is none other besides me",Is. 47:10 speaking of the Babylonian attitude, self encompassing, all about me. Yet, God's ways are higher than us. It's about HIM. All glory goes to Him. He wouldn't share it with king Nebuchadnezzar. He enables us to go through the fire. He never leaves us. We walk through the fire without smelling like the fire. Bondages are burned off. He knows where and when to draw the line. He knows and He cares about us.
Soon we will start the second set of six weeks. Join us as we study eschatology. Oh, those end time prophecies are always exciting. We start at 9:30 AM or 7:00 PM on Thursdays.
