Welcome to all the new members of Destiny Church! On the 2nd Sunday of September we presented these precious people to the congregation and prayed a prayer of blessing over them. (Left to right: Ginger McAllister, Johnny Asevedo, Erika Lakey, Julian Asevedo, Krystal Matthews, Valerie Harris, Steven Huerta, Krystle Asevedo, Alexandria Huerta, Lydia Huerta, Lupita De Leon, Pete De Leon, Tara Vasquez, and James Vasquez)
They've completed Discover Destiny, our 3 week membership course, and believe this is the church home God has placed them in. We sincerely believe in the biblical teaching that covenant membership in a local church is important for every believer and we are grateful to God for adding these individuals to Destiny. It's our prayer and our goal to see each of these individuals find their place at Destiny both relationally and in service to God. The pastors have had an opportunity to meet with each of them to discover their unique stories. God has truly blessed us with some remarkable people that we are pleased to call friends. Our new brothers and sisters in Christ! In the coming months and years we anticipate God using these individuals in miraculous ways. We believe God has given each Christian spiritual gifts and called each member of Destiny to minister. We would like to encourage all the members of Destiny, as well as, ministry department leaders to reach out to these new friends. Let's show ourselves friendly and help them find a place to serve in the church.
You do such a wonderful job of making Destiny a loving, caring, giving place. Let's keep up the great work we're doing to the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.Blessings,

This month the Simply Beautiful Bible Study has been devouring the book of Daniel with Beth Moore. This first six weeks focused on the life of Daniel through his captivity in Babylon and his uncompromising life and dedication in service to the Almighty God of heaven.
We too live in the lap of luxury. Yes, our own Babylon. We can learn from Daniel how to live an uncompromising life dedicated to the most High God.
Isaiah penned it well, "I am and there is none other besides me",Is. 47:10 speaking of the Babylonian attitude, self encompassing, all about me. Yet, God's ways are higher than us. It's about HIM. All glory goes to Him. He wouldn't share it with king Nebuchadnezzar. He enables us to go through the fire. He never leaves us. We walk through the fire without smelling like the fire. Bondages are burned off. He knows where and when to draw the line. He knows and He cares about us.
Soon we will start the second set of six weeks. Join us as we study eschatology. Oh, those end time prophecies are always exciting. We start at 9:30 AM or 7:00 PM on Thursdays.
