Initiated by our City Quest vision, a team of Destiny volunteers reached out to families at the Lantana Apartments just about one mile from Destiny Church. This outreach included music, a Christmas message, testimonies, drama, food, and gifts for the children. Our prayer was that many would experience the saving knowledge and power of Jesus Christ and be added to a local church.
The team led by Mike Ybarra ministered in an excellent way and we did see many come to know Christ. In fact, a family from the complex has seen Jesus save their marriage and family. It's been a joy seeing them attend Destiny recently and growing in their faith.

This Is Your Year to Hear! With a heart yearning to hear from God, we often begin a new year with prayer, fasting, and seeking the Scriptures with great expectation. Diligently seeking God brings great reward.
Declare these words of Psalm 63:1, ”O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You...” May we arise each day of this New Year, 2009, with Psalm 119:147, “ I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your Word.”
What a great way to begin the day! For as you seek, be assured God will speak. Listen! This is your year to hear! With that in heart, hearing the Word is one step and being a doer of the Word is another step. In James 1:22, we are reminded of the blessings of being hearers and doers of the Word.

SPECIAL EVENT FOR ALL WOMEN
You are invited to join us at the Ladies’ Fellowship Dinner to be held on Wednesday, January 21st at 4:30PM in the Youth Center Auditorium in honor of our Missions Ambassadors from all over the world.
From oceans abroad and terrains uncommon, over one hundred dynamic women will gather to celebrate God’s faithfulness displayed through our Missions Ambassadors. These dedicated women are full time laborers on the mission field and serve in various countries such as Mexico, Austria, China, Japan and Africa, as well as many other countries abroad. They live in the “GO” of His commandment to reach the world for His glory!
Guest speaker, Rita Reus of Destiny, will bring a powerful word of encouragement, and hope that will transform lives. Throughout the evening will be special times of prayer for all women.
