Easter Egg Hunt 2012
Eggs, eggs, and more eggs. 7,000 in all covered the hillside as we celebrated the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with our children. As you'll gather from the pictures, we had an overwhelming turnout. Games got everyone in the celebrating mood and having fun. We then had a puppet show of Jesus on the Road to Emmaus with his disciples, which told the true story of Easter. Our prayer, our song, and our gospel presentation was all to convey the truth that "The Lord watches over the way of the righteous"(Psalm 1:6). Of course, everything led up to the climax of the traditional Easter egg hunt. It still amazes me how 7,000 eggs can disappear in about 5 minutes as an army of children gobble them up into their baskets. Will 10,000 eggs next year make the fun last longer or not? We may just have to see. PHOTOS
