Family Fall Festival 2010

The Family Fall Festival brought many games, food, fun, music, and prizes. Over 200 people came out and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. We cast a vision for our Destiny Kids Treehouse that we hope to complete in 2011. The dunk tank was especially cold. Just ask pastors Doug and Ted. PHOTOS

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon 2010

The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon was a time to thank and encourage our faithful children's ministry volunteers. We have over 70 volunteers and several directors over classes who deserved to be recognized. We enjoyed a spaghetti meal together surrounded by a Luau atmosphere. PHOTOS

High Seas Expedition - VBS 2010

High Seas Expedition - Vacation Bible School 2010 was an overwhelming success! Nearly 200 children participated, many committed their life to Jesus, and several were water baptized. Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, and volunteered to make this ministry event possible. God was glorified and many children were transformed! PHOTOS

New Members - March 2010

Welcome to all the new members of Destiny Church! In March we presented these precious people to the congregation and prayed a prayer of blessing over them. (Top Row: Sharon Luna Lozano, Jimmy Hernandez, James Broherd, Victor Figueroa, Bottom Row: Rose Sandoval, Samuel Sandoval, Kasie Broherd, Brenda Johnson)

They've completed Discover Destiny, our 3 week membership course, and believe this is the church home God has placed them in. We sincerely believe in the biblical teaching that covenant membership in a local church is important for every believer and we are grateful to God for adding these individuals to Destiny.

It's our prayer and our goal to see each of these individuals find their place at Destiny both relationally and in service to God. The pastors have had an opportunity to meet with each of them to discover their unique stories. God has truly blessed us with some remarkable people that we are pleased to call friends. Our new brothers and sisters in Christ!

In the coming months and years we anticipate God using these individuals in miraculous ways. We believe God has given each Christian spiritual gifts and called each member of Destiny to minister. We would like to encourage all the members of Destiny, as well as, ministry department leaders to reach out to these new friends. Let's show ourselves friendly and help them find a place to serve in the church.

You do such a wonderful job of making Destiny a loving, caring, giving place. Let's keep up the great work we're doing to the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.

Blessings,

Destiny Church Pastoral Team

Easter Egg Hunt 2010

The Easter Egg Hunt was fantastic! We had about 350 people meet on the hillside at Destiny. It was neat to see that at least half of those who came were guests from the community. The games were a great addition this year along with the 5000 eggs, which may have lasted an entire 15 minutes. My favorite time and the main reason we gathered was to hear the gospel story of Jesus. We took everyone from the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, to the Cross, and finished with his victorious Resurrection. I believe the grace of salvation was sown into many lives. Thank you Destiny for expressing friendliness and love to everyone who came. PHOTOS

Christmas at Destiny 2009

Christmas at Destiny is our annual Sunday when the children dramatize the nativity story. They were so cute in their costumes as they told the story through drama and song. We had Mary and Joseph, the Angels, Shepherds, Wisemen, our children's choir, and the eternal story of Jesus' birth. Join us next year for this memorable presentation! PHOTOS
