Welcome to all the new members of Destiny Church! On the 2nd Sunday of May we presented these precious people to the congregation and prayed a prayer of blessing over them. (Left to right: Keith Schmitz, Christian Savu)They've completed Discover Destiny, our 3 week membership course, and believe this is the church home God has placed them in. We sincerely believe in the biblical teaching that covenant membership in a local church is important for every believer and we are grateful to God for adding these individuals to Destiny. It's our prayer and our goal to see each of these individuals find their place at Destiny both relationally and in service to God. The pastors have had an opportunity to meet with each of them to discover their unique stories. God has truly blessed us with some remarkable people that we are pleased to call friends. Our new brothers and sisters in Christ! In the coming months and years we anticipate God using these individuals in miraculous ways. We believe God has given each Christian spiritual gifts and called each member of Destiny to minister. We would like to encourage all the members of Destiny, as well as, ministry department leaders to reach out to these new friends. Let's show ourselves friendly and help them find a place to serve in the church.
You do such a wonderful job of making Destiny a loving, caring, giving place. Let's keep up the great work we're doing to the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.Blessings,

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all who contributed to Crocodile Dock VBS 2009. Just a couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to speak to the congregation on a Sunday morning on the topic of witnessing for Christ in a message entitled "Turn Your World Upside Down". The response was overwhelming as we partnered together to pray for VBS, invite families, volunteer and give.
To date we have the volunteers we need, over 140 children are preregistered, and our financial goal was met. We needed $3,000 and nearly $4,000 was pledged and 95% of the pledges have come in. I want to commend you for responding to God's Word and His voice to make these sacrifices. God is certainly going to bless you and he's going to be glorified as many children come to Jesus.

The Father Son Outing was a blast! Swimming, basketball, tennis, burgers, lots of sun, and fellowship. We had some messy games with sons feeding their fathers a high energy drink from a bottle and banana baby food blind folded. It was a sloppy mess! Thank God for the pool to wash off. Ted Thevaos, our children's pastor, spoke a message on fathers setting a Christ-like example of humble servanthood. PHOTOS!
Wow! What a Mother and Daughter Breakfast celebration we had this year complete with door prizes and singing from some of our daughters. Cynthia out did herself again. She is such a visionary and organizer. Thank you Cynthia and Liz for the "Blossoms Of Blessings" book that contained letters from daughters to their mothers. It is the blessing you imagined it would be.
Ladies, we were blessed to have Liz Pulliam share what God had put on her heart. Relationships with either our mother, or our daughter was the topic. Liz spoke from experience. The hurt many must live with runs deep and surfaces through emotional outbursts, it follows the poor example set in early childhood. Examples threaded their way amply into her portrayal of what these relationships were not supposed to be and yet are life for many.
Forgiveness is the key to open the door for more of God's grace and healing. We have all experienced eroded or dashed hopes. Forgiveness is the first step forward out of the miry pit of discouragement, sadness, and depression. You are forgiven! God designed us to sit in heavenly places. His plans for us, for you, are for good. Liz, thank you, our friend and sister. You are awesome in presenting the Word! PHOTOS!
